Notes: Twelve volume set, tightly bound in clean green boards with bright gilt lettering and decoration, some minor bumping to the corners and edges. The text blocks are slightly foxed and browned and most having the same ownership plate to the inside front board. The dust jackets are all original, uniformly slightly browned and grubby, more so to the spine panels, with some minor losses and short closed tears. The attractive Thornton edition, uncommon to find a uniform set that retains the original jackets.
