Notes: The book is tightly and squarely bound in clean orange boards lettered in red, the corners and spine ends are a little bumped. The text block is slightly age-browned, with a few spots, but free from inscriptions and generally internally clean. The dust jacket is the original and not price clipped, it has a few short closed tears, some minor nicks and it is somewhat foxed. An early U.K. edition of this enduring book, which grips the reader from the initial introduction to the narrator, who is bemoaning the failure of adults to recognise his picture of a boa constrictor digesting in elephant for what it is, and instead mistaking it for a hat. Rare in the original dust jacket.
