Notes: The book is firmly bound in clean green boards, which are a little rubbed and bumped at the edges. There has been some insect damage affecting the hinges at some point, which has been neatly filled by a paper conservationist, the text block is also foxed to the edges, and slightly age toned, with some minor spots of foxing internally, it is otherwise clean. The dust jacket is the original and not price clipped, it is age toned with some minor marks, and has been professionally restored, the main work being to the top of the spine above the lettering. A signed and dated before and after photo will be provided with the book, so that you will have a record of the exact extent of the restoration. In my experience the most uncommon of the Swallows and Amazons novels, only 2000 copies were originally printed. With the new BBC adaptation of Swallows and Amazons in the pipeline, these perennial favourites are only likely to increase in value.
